Glenora Infill

Exterior night pics of an infill house project I did last year with LEDR Developments

I constructed threee precast concrete planters to compliment the front entry sidwalk coming up to the front door.

Basement Development

Here is a barndoor I constructed for a kids nook / play area.

The hardware is from Rustica Hardware.

Some fun shelving for the kids play area constructed out of melamine.

A concrete countertop w/ concrete backsplash for a bar area.

Light Base

A custom concrete light base for the interior of a house

Glenora Fireplace Surround

For a new home in Glenora, a natural concrete fireplace hearth, mantle and surround with a cultured stone wall

Earthquake Fireplace

A black concrete fireplace surround for a master bedroom.  Along the same lines of the “Jessica Table”

Exposed Aggregate Coffee Table

This is a 48”x28”x16” exposed aggregate concrete coffee table with attached casters that just left the shop last weekend for a client, it weighs about 450 lbs, the heaviest piece i’ve done in a long time.  The casters were custom ordered to be able to withstand the weight, the table wheels around very easily and smoothly.

Maple Coffee Table

This is a 42”x48”x16” light grey coffee table with maple inserts, the middle tray can be removed if wanted.

Lendrum Renovated Fireplace

This is a custom fireplace hearth with a wavy pattern cast in the middle to match some mdf panels that were installed around some ceiling potlights.  The hearth was installed and placed overtop the exsisting concrete support that used to be tiled.  The client did a great job designing the hearth and the unique tile surround.

The Common

New Bar Counters for “The Common’s” new location 9910 - 109 Street, go check it out!!  Below is an Edmonton Journal link for a write up on the new location

Grandview Fireplace

This was a renovation job, all about covering up everything that was exsisting and slapping concrete over it all.  The hearth is a kinda gunmetal color while the fireplace surround is white concrete and ready for a fireplace insert.  A tv mount is going to get installed in the 4 matching holes as well.

Slab City Studios likes to design stuff made out of concrete and keep people informed of interesting projects and whatever else is going on in the shop.
